01 — The brief

Get the viewing booked

A wedding venue is chosen after a site visit, and almost never without one. Everything the website does is in service of that one action.

Couples shortlist from home, comparing capacity, exclusivity, catering, pricing and whether the photos look like the day they imagine. Vagueness at that stage loses the enquiry to a venue that answered the question.

The site also had to carry two other audiences: companies booking training days, town halls and team building, and families booking milestone birthdays, engagements and anniversaries, each with different expectations of the same property.

Feature

The FAQ section is the quiet workhorse. Vendor access times, canapé counts, exclusive use, wet weather, timings and what the venue hire actually covers are all answered in the venue's own words, which removes the back and forth that slows a booking.

Three audiences, one property

The same estate sold three different ways

Weddings, corporate events and private functions want different things from sixteen acres.

The wedding journey sells exclusivity, ceremony locations and photography spots. The corporate journey sells the Main Hall and Dance Hall, facilitation and team building led by an owner with an HR background.

Private functions sell flexibility and styling for engagements, baby showers and milestone birthdays. Each has its own page, gallery and enquiry, sharing one booking calendar.

02 — The process

How we got there

  1. 01

    Mapping the booking decision

The venue's real enquiry questions were used to structure the site, so the pages answer them in the order a couple asks them.

  2. 02

    Design around the property

A photography-led build that gives the grounds, chapel outlook and styling the space they need on both desktop and phone.

  3. 03

    Packages, pricing and documents

Wedding packages, pricing PDFs, booking forms and final meeting documents were structured so the team can update them without a developer.

  4. 04

    Galleries and suppliers

Twelve galleries and the preferred provider directory were built as content records, updated as new photography comes in.

  5. 05

    Enquiry and viewing paths

Book a viewing, enquiry forms and downloadable booking forms all feed the venue directly, with corporate and private function paths kept separate.

03 — The outcome

Fewer questions, more viewings

The site does the qualifying so the team spends its time showing people around.

Couples arrive at a viewing already knowing the packages, the pricing structure and what is included, which shortens the path to a booking.

Corporate and private function enquiries come in through their own paths, so a team building enquiry is never handled as a wedding lead.
