Adobe simply own the back-end functionality which you pay a yearly fee for, and the site is fully transferable to other Adobe Partners! (but we sure hope this doesn't happen :-) -

Another important feature is the security. Often with Open Source CMS systems, security updates can be expensive and are often overlooked. Not with CoreCMS, as it is hosted on Adobe's cloud servers, security updates are added instantly, databases and content are backed up daily, and source code is not available for hackers.
